In Meditation 6, we continue with the body scanning technique and explore the 3rd Chakra or Solar Plexus.

 

By now, you should be getting familiar with tuning in to particular energetic points in the body. And you may also see how different each chakra's qualities are. 

The Solar Plexus in the Chakra system, stores a lot of energy around our sense of power, ego and manifesting our soul's purpose in the world. It's also the area of our "gut brain," the 2nd biggest bundle of nerves in our body.

 

Because there is so much nerve activity here, we can tend to store stress and emotion here also. Sometimes the only way to release this stored tension is to become aware of and acknowledge it, which starts to unravel it, so to speak. We can then breathe into those spaces, give them what they need (love, tenderness, safety) and consciously intend to release them with our exhales.
