“Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.” ― Rumi

In Meditation 5, we come back to body scanning and do a deep dive into the realm of the heart.

The heart can speak to us in many ways. We can tune in to what it's saying by noticing the different qualities it possesses, like the shape, color, texture or story it's telling us.

The heart is a realm of endless depth. There is a place inside the heart referred to in many different religions and ancient traditions that is said to be connected to limitlessness or unconditional love, which is the root of who we are.

The heart also has limitless wisdom and can hold our soul's secrets and answers to just about any question we have.

We also tend to build many walls around our heart as we grow from children to adults to protect and defend ourselves. However, the walls not only keep sadness out, they keep love out and hinder our ability to expand and grow. When we realize that the protection we have built has been under false pretenses, it can sometimes be challenging to break them down, as old fears arise.

Learning how to get in touch with our heart can help to soften the walls gradually, so we not only feel our own self-love, but the love of the Universe fully and deeply.

Namaste.
