Why Being Sad is Good

One of the greatest and most powerful pathways to profound presence, joy, and freedom is our own sadnessโ€ฆ but sometimes, we need a little help to feel it.

When we can feel sad, it means we are underneath anxiety, anger, and apathy, the 3 most common โ€œcover-upโ€ emotions.

In my experience, if we can feel our own deep sadness bellowing up - true sadness - it means weโ€™re close to a base-layer belief or thought system weโ€™ve long held on to, synonymous with the remorse for lost time and energy spent on believing something that is untrue.

The greatest gift in this is the realization that what we have been thinking is in essence untrue.

Beliefs about ourselves, about our loved ones, about our capacities, about the nature of reality and the world. Deep-seated beliefs have kept us in bondage for so long and closed off to the abundant and altruistic loving hands of the Divine that were actually holding us the whole time.

If you feel youโ€™re holding on to some sadness, but you canโ€™t quite get to the bottom of it, perhaps itโ€™s time for an ๐‘จ๐’Œ๐’‚๐’”๐’‰๐’Š๐’„ ๐‘ฏ๐’†๐’‚๐’๐’Š๐’๐’ˆ ๐’”๐’†๐’”๐’”๐’Š๐’๐’ - to be supported in the most loving, caring, compassionate space with gentle guidance to help unravel the untruths youโ€™ve been telling yourself. Because whatโ€™s on the other side of that is the unmatched joy and freedom you know is there.
