Why Being Sad is Good

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐁𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐚𝐝 𝐢𝐬 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝?

One of the greatest and most powerful pathways to profound presence, joy, and freedom is our own sadness… but sometimes, we need a little help to feel it.

When we can feel sad, it means we are underneath anxiety, anger, and apathy, the 3 most common “cover-up” emotions.

In my experience, if we can feel our own deep sadness bellowing up - true sadness - it means we’re close to a base-layer belief or thought system we’ve long held on to, synonymous with the remorse for lost time and energy spent on believing something that is untrue.

The greatest gift in this is the realization that what we have been thinking is in essence untrue.

Beliefs about ourselves, about our loved ones, about our capacities, about the nature of reality and the world. Deep-seated beliefs have kept us in bondage for so long and closed off to the abundant and altruistic loving hands of the Divine that were actually holding us the whole time.

If you feel you’re holding on to some sadness, but you can’t quite get to the bottom of it, perhaps it’s time for an 𝑨𝒌𝒂𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒄 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒔𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 - to be supported in the most loving, caring, compassionate space with gentle guidance to help unravel the untruths you’ve been telling yourself. Because what’s on the other side of that is the unmatched joy and freedom you know is there.
