Leap and the net will appear - Zen Proverb

Recently, a coach I work with recounted the story of "The parting of the Red Sea" from the Old Testament in the Judeo-Christian tradition.
It was super inspiring and different than what I had heard before, so I share it with you now...
He said the Israelites had experienced several miracles on their way out of Egypt, escaping slavery and back to their homeland.
I mean, the pharaoh letting them leave slavery in the first place was a miracle in itself. But after letting them go, he changed his mind and sent his army to hunt them down and bring them back.
But when the Israelites' path forward was blocked by the Red Sea and it seemed they were trapped with nowhere else to go, they gave up. They turned on Moses and regretted ever leaving slavery Egypt for the motherland, losing their faith that God/Source/the Universe was actually a benevolent force serving them the whole way.
They were being tested...
But Moses assured them that they had to stay in their knowing and in their inner faith that they were indeed supported. He encouraged them to keep their minds surrendered and their hearts open to love.
So, they started walking into the sea faithfully without knowing what was to come next, walking towards Love.
The water reached their ankles, their knees, their hips and eventually their chest. And finally a strong wind came and cleared the water from their bodies and path.
Eventually they made safe passage all the way to the other shore and the sea closed back up before the Egyptian army could pass...
I don't know about you, but this story gives me chills.
I can relate to seeing miracle after miracle in my life and in the lives of others, yet sometimes I still lose faith.
This story and countless others remind me, we don't have to know all the answers and we never will, but we have to be willing to take the first steps in trust and faith.
I hope this story inspires you as it did me and brings a little faith to the ones who need it now....
I'm hosting my last workshop for a while in Austin tonight and you're invited! If you can't make it, stay tuned for upcoming online workshops with similar vibes.
