Psychedelics are among the most promising treatments for people with conditions like PTSD and severe depression.
Centers and Universities around the U.S. are exploding with new research on the efficacy of these ancient plant medicines for modern psychiatric epidemics.
As an Akashic healer, coach and someone who has been holding space for people to spiritually transform, this has been an area of deep interest to me, and I have sometimes referred clients to special plant ceremonies when called to do so.
Psychedelic experiences in therapeutic settings have also been rated by researches to be the most spiritually significant events of people's lives! Right up there with having their first child!
So, it was a no-brainer when earlier this year, I was asked to take on the role as Director of Coaching and Integration for Heroic Path to Light, a 501-C3 (non-profit) organization missioned to save the lives of Veterans and First Responders who suffer from PTSD through retreats, programs and integration coaching.
Psychedelics like psilocybin and other ceremonial substances used in indigenous cultures around the world have been taken to open up fused areas of the subconscious mind and to provide meaningful visual and emotional information that rewire current belief systems and give new understandings to Life.
As I dive deeper into this world, I find the similarities between psychedelic journeys and the Akashic Records experiences to be striking, but I'll disclose these in another article.....
However, I am deeply honored to be a part of the larger movement to support radical change in mental/emotional/spiritual health in the U.S. and to one of the largest suffering demographics we have - our Veterans, First Responders (including Fire Department, Police Department, etc) and grieving spouses.
